Parables is a pop up portrait salon that invites participants to sit for portraits by photographer Kennedi Carter, as they pose with their favorite black literature.The innaugural session took place at Reparations Club Los Angeles in 2021.

Smoky Quartz highlighted creatives working across varying disciplines, bringing them together for engaging conversations and roundtables. I conceptualized and produced the series, including booking 15 artists across the US and East Africa. Learn more here.

2022 art exhibition presented at
Pop Box Gallery.
Maroon Archive is an ongoing exhibition exploring art and recorded history across the black diaspora. The 2022 debut show featured a collection of archival texts, books, found photos, and original works by Aliyah Bonnette, Ambrose Rhapsody Murray, and Kennedi Carter. A core part of my curatorial practice involves managing a personal archive of found images, photo negatives, and books, with a focus on Black Diasporic aesthetics and performance.
My current collection themes are "Young Hot Ebony: Black Femme Beauty and Sensuality Across Time" , and "the American and Global Souths, 1950-03"
